Volkswagen has announced four trims: SE, SE with Technology, SEL R-Line and SEL Premium R-Line. Front-wheel drive is standard on the SE and SE with Technology with 4MOTION® all-wheel drive available, and both SEL R-Line trims come with 4MOTION®. Final trim content is subject to change before launch.
Volkswagen has confirmed three new colors for 2027: Dark Sage Metallic, Blackberry Metallic and Sandstone. The returning Atlas-family palette of Deep Black Pearl, Opal White Pearl, Pure Grey, Silver Mist Metallic and Mountain Lake Blue Metallic is expected to continue. Color availability by trim will be confirmed in the Volkswagen order guide.
Three interior palettes are offered: Pebble Grey, Black and Medium Brown. The SE and SE with Technology use leatherette seating surfaces, the SEL R-Line uses Varenna leather and the SEL Premium R-Line uses Nappa leather. A black headliner and available olive-green contrast stitching are part of the Cross Sport's sportier cabin.
Every trim uses Volkswagen's updated 2.0-liter EA888 evo5 turbocharged four-cylinder, rated at 282 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, the most ever in an Atlas Cross Sport. It is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission with Tiptronic®.
